For nature lovers, Cocoa Beach offers many attractions. One of them is Brevard Zoo home to more than 400 animals like jaguar, kangaroo, eagle and more. In Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge, more than 1045 variety of animals and plants and 310 bird species are found. It is home for many endangered wildlife species like West Indian Manatees, sea turtles, southern Bald Eagles and Gopher Tortoise.
